Buen Camino! We made it!! I came on this trip for three things. I came to travel, to grow in education, and to grow in my relationship with God. I had hoped to gain a further understanding in what God had next in my life and the steps I needed to take to get there. I also wanted to make friends and gain a community which was something I saw was on offer with the world race

We arrived in Leon on the 16th and had a rest day and we got to sight see. It was a beautiful city with so much history. The following day we started our 14 mile hike. That day was a lot of fun and a lot of work. We are now on day 4 and I must admit that this trip has not been easy. On day two I woke up with a sore throat and a headache. We only walked 8 or 9 miles, but I found it a struggle to focus on school and the lord. The next day I woke up feeling great, but deteriorated towards the afternoon. Today I woke up, we started walking and spent the first hour praying. I felt so dependent on the Lord and I asked for his strength in this period of being weak. We walked bet, ween 12 and 15 miles today, depending on whose watch you look at, and I felt God carrying me every step of the way. I am so thankful that when I am weak he is strong!
