As we get closer to our flight to Spain on Friday I am overcome with many different emotions. I am excited for all of the things I will learn as well as for the people I will get to know and grow with. I am also filled with nervous anticipation for the hard things I will see and experience.

It can be easy to give in to our fears and never try to leave our nest. Sometimes I think we feel comfortable in our fear, but if there is one thing I have learned about God, it’s that he does not call us to sit in fear. Fear does not develop trust it destroys it.

Jesus says in Luke 12:32 “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”  I love that Jesus rests our anxieties by telling us that God wants us to have his kingdom while still commanding us not to fear.

I have been filled with peace knowing and believing that God has me right where he wants me.
